Our Live Aboard Yachts & Dive Boats
We have the widest selection of live aboard yachts and dive boats in East Africa. From the smallest Galileo, a 47′ Leopard sailing catamaran to the 82′ stunning Ocean Adventurer 2, each yacht and dive boat is carefully selected for each trip to ensure they appropriate for the trip and are problem free. Trips are tailor made and priced according to which yacht you select.
We cater for small groups of as little as 4 divers and as many as 10, and all live aboards provide full board accommodation on board. All yachts are also equipped with air compressors and enough cylinders for up to 3 dives per day.
Dive boats are generally rigid hull inflatables purpose built for scuba diving. They are light to tow behind the yachts, large enough to accommodate up to 16 persons, have tank racks, are extremely seaworthy even in rough conditions. Lastly, they provide fast transport to a shore based emergency centre if needed.
Dive Boat - Samsuri
Samsuri is one of our three rigid hull inflatables we use as dive boats. The builder is Feral Inflatables in South Africa and she has an overall length of 8 m.
She is purpose built for diving and has a forward fitted helm that allows for a large deck space for dive gear and equipment. A central rack allows for 16 tanks to be fastened at the centre of the boat.
Samsuri is fitted with a custom built ‘T’ top that provides welcome elief from the blazing sun on hot days. He deep ‘V’ hull is designed for navigating comfortably in rough South African seas and in that respect, she is true to her name.
Operated by a competent skipper and dive instructor/guide, light and agile, she is the perfect dive boat for any live aboard trip and doubles up as a fast response solution to any emergency when far out at sea.
Our boats can be fitted with custom built ladders for those who would prefer one.
Live Aboard Yacht - Ocean Adventurer 2
The Ocean Adventurer 2 is the most impressive yacht in our fleet. Boasting a length of 82′ and a 40′ beam, she is pure space!!! She has been designed as an expedition vessel, and she is a great one! She is not a sailing yacht and runs on engine power alone. She has an amazing range of up to 3,000 nm.
She is run by an efficient crew of 3 and can sleep up to 10 persons in 4 cabins. She has a large interior lounge and huge external lounge area. She has a large and very functional galley. Her ample deck space allows for plenty of additional gear to be loaded on her.
This amazing yacht is based in Mozambique and is one of our live aboard scuba diving yachts for groups of 8 – 10 persons.
Live Aboard Yacht - QC
CQ is a stunning 50′ sailing catamaran. She is built in 2005 in South Africa by. She has sleek racing lines and is a fast cruising yacht. Her interiors are humble and not luxurious, with 4 double cabins with ensuite showers and toilets. She has a small but functional galley and an outdoor BBQ, equipped with everything needed to dish out some high quality gourmet meals.
Her most notable feature is the design and size of the saloon. Unlike other sailing yacht saloons, she is open at the back and proportionally has a considerably larger seating all around it than other yacht’s her size would have. It is a perfect lounge to relax with a large view toward the stern of the yacht. The large trampolines offer comfort cruising at the front of the yacht.
CQ is a very stable and sails smoothly even in rough seas, with little or no ‘slamming’ under the central area that is commmon to most sailing catamarans. She makes a perfect platform for our live aboard diving expeditions in the area.
Live Aboard Yacht - Isis
Isis is a luxury 54′ power catamaran. She is built in South Africa by Stealth Yachts. She runs twin high speed 800 HP inboard diesels and has a top speed of over 40 knots.
Her interiors are luxurious and beautifully designed with flowing lines. She has a large master cabin and two smaller double cabins with large en suite toilets and showers.
She is fitted with an air dive compressor and has ample cyclinders for up to three dives per day. She has a crew of three and is perfectly suited as a dive platform for those who insist on a little more luxury.
Live Aboard Yacht - Dandelion
Dandelion is a 47’ Leopard sailing catamaran. She is extremely well built in South Africa and beautifully finished. She is comfortable on day trips with up to 10 persons on board. She comfortably sleeps six in three double en suite cabins. She is pure luxury for the limit of 4 divers we take on live aboard trips to St. Lazarus Bank and the likes.
She is based out of Pemba (Mozambique) and crewed by a a competent crew. Meals are deliciously prepared using fresh ingredients, mainly seafood, and she provides a very comfortable and safe ride. During our live aboard trips, she mainly lies at anchor while we dive all day, returning to her at sunset to awaiting iced drinks and great food
We organize 6 – 15 day trips on her to St. Lazarus Bank and the Quirimbas Archipelago in Mozambique, and she is pure luxury and comfort on the water.
